Biographical Information
Marisa Portolese was born in Montréal, Québec. She received a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University in Montréal in 2001. She has exhibited widely in Canada, Europe and the United States, notably in cities such as Berlin, New York City, Seattle, San Francisco, Montreal, Québec City, Toronto, Palermo and Bologna, Italy. Her work has been written about in various journals, magazines, newspapers, art books and Dazibao publications published a book of her photographs. She has been awarded grants from the Canada and Québec Arts Councils. Her work is part of private and public collections.
